Talisman

Talisman atau azimat^[1] adalah sebuah benda yang diyakini oleh beberapa orang memiliki kekuatan magis yang dapat memberikan kekuatan, energi dan manfaat tertentu bagi pemiliknya.^[2]

Etimologi

Kata talisman berasal dari kata Prancis talisman, yang diturunkan dari kata Arab tilism (طلسم, jamak tilismaat), yang berasal dari kata Yunani kuno telesma (τέλεσμα)^[3]^[4] dari kata teleō.^[5]
