Premiership Rugby, (känd som Gallagher Premiership av sponsorskäl)[1] är den officiella högsta ligan i England för rugby union. Den är en av de tre stora professionella ligorna i Europa (de andra är United Rugby Championship och franska Top 14), där de åtta högst rankade klubbarna kvalificerar sig till European Rugby Champions Cup.
Den första säsongen spelades 1987–88 och gick under namnet Courage League National Division One.[2] 1997 bytte ligan namn till Allied Dunbar Premiership då ett sponsoravtal inleddes med försäkringsbolaget Allied Dunbar, säsongen 2000–01 bytte den återigen namn till Zurich Premiership efter Allied Dunbars moderbolag Zurich Financial Services.[3] Samma säsong infördes också en slutspelsomgång för de åtta högst placerade klubbarna med en final som spelas på Twickenham Stadium.[4] Mellan 2005 och 2010 var Guinness sponsor och ligan kallades Guinness Premiership. Premiership Rugby sponsrades av Aviva mellan 2010 till 2018 och kallades då Aviva Premiership.[1]
Säsongen 2022/2023 inleddes med 13 lag i Premiership, men Wasps och Worcester uteslöts efter att ha gått i konkurs.[5]
