Götene IF, bildat 1924, är en idrottsförening i Götene i Sverige. Klubbens hemmaplan heter Västerby IP. Man har två stycken 11- mannaplaner, en 5-mannaplan, två 7-mannaplaner och en konstgräsplan (som Götene kommun äger). I fotboll för herrar har klubben som bäst spelat i division II, som de gick upp i 2009. De har som lägst spelat i division V.

Götene IF har fostrat bland andra Örebro och Falkenbergs tidigare anfallare Stefan Rodevåg samt Jesper Arvidsson, tidigare i bland annat Djurgårdens IF och IK Sirius FK.

Italienproffset Arne Selmosson var spelande tränare 1969-1971.

Götene IF innehar publikrekordet i Götene kommun för en fotbollsmatch, rekordet ligger på 4036 personer och sattes 2015 när man i Svenska Cupen spelade mot Malmö FF[1]. Det tidigare rekordet var från 1963 när Götene IF spelade en träningsmatch mot Udinese, matchen drog runt 3800 besökare.
