Noc múzeí a galérií

Noc múzeí a galérií[1] (iné názvy: noc múzeí, múzejná noc, v nemecky hovoriacich krajinách sčasti aj dlhá noc múzeí) je akcia, pri ktorej sú múzeá, galérie a pamiatkové objekty otvorené dlhšie ako zvyčajne (niekedy aj cez polnoc) a vstupné do nich je navyše buď znížené, alebo úplne zadarmo. Organizátori múzejných nocí sa tak snaží vzbudiť v radoch širokej verejnosti záujem o múzeá a podobné inštitúcie. Noci múzeí a galérií bývajú sprevádzané posilnenou a kyvadlovou dopravou, ktorá býva tiež zadarmo.

Prvý ročník podujatia prebehol v roku 1997 v Berlíne, potom v Česku v roku 2004 v Prahe, a výrazný ohlas medzi návštevníkmi zapríčinil rozšírenie tohto podujatia aj do ďalších miest v Česku.[2] Noc múzeí a galérií sa koná aj na Slovensku.
