Michael Brant Shermer (* 8. september 1954, Glendale, Kalifornia, USA) je americký historik vedy.
Preslávil sa najmä ako zakladateľ The Skeptics Society, ktorá bojuje proti pseudovedám a iracionalizmu. Je šéfredaktorom jej časopisu Skeptic. Spoločnosť aj časopis Shermer založil v roku 1992, k roku 2008 mala už 55 tisíc členov a pobočky po celom svete. Označuje sa za ateistu a humanistu.
