Lockout v NHL

Lockout v NHL je prerušenie hokejovej súťaže. K prvému, ale krátkemu iba desaťdňovému, prišlo pred play-off v roku 1992. Sezóna 1994/1995 sa začala s oneskorením a ročník 2004/2005 sa pre rokovania o kolektívnej zmluve nehral vôbec.

Lockout v sezóne 2004/05

Lockout NHL v sezóne 2004/05 bol historicky prvou a dosiaľ jedinou celosezónnou výlukou niektorej z hlavných severoamerických športových súťaží.[1] Začal sa 16. septembra 2004 a trval 10 mesiacov a šesť dní. Sezóna bola zrušená (tzv. lockout) kvôli nedohode medzi NHL a organizáciou zastupujúcou profesionálnych hráčov NHLPA (National Hockey League Players Association) o kolektívnej zmluve. Počas lockoutu hral veľký počet hráčov NHL (388), vrátane slovenských, v európskych hokejových súťažiach. Do Ruska zamierilo 78 hráčov, vo Švédsku ich pôsobilo 78 a v Česku 51. V tejto sezóne sa výrazne zvýšila aj kvalita slovenskej extraligy, kde si zahrali mená ako Pavol Demitra, Marián Hossa, Marián Gáborík (všetci Dukla Trenčín), Miroslav Šatan, Ľubomír Višňovský (obaja Slovan Bratislava), Michal Handzuš, Richard Zedník, Vladimír Országh (všetci HKm Zvolen) či Ladislav Nagy a Martin Štrbák (HC Košice). Nová kolektívna dohoda bola podpísaná až 22. júla 2005, čo umožnilo riadny štart sezóny 2005/06.[2]

Lockout v sezóne 2012/2013

V poradí 95. sezóna najprestížnejšej hokejovej ligy (NHL) na svete sa nezačne v pôvodne plánovanom termíne 11. októbra.[3] V zámorskej NHL prišlo k tretiemu lockoutu v priebehu osemnástich rokov, keďže dohoda medzi hráčmi (NHLPA) a ligou (NHL) skončila svoju platnosť, a v sobotu o polnoci vypršal termín na uzavretie novej kolektívnej zmluvy. Lockout sa začal 16. septembra 2012 a trval 112 dní. Počas lockoutu hralo 218 hráčov z NHL v Európe. Do KHL zamierilo 45 hráčov, medzi nimi i slovenskí reprezentanti Zdeno Chára (Lev Praha), Ľubomír Višňovský a Andrej Sekera (Slovan Bratislava). V slovenskej extralige si zahral Tomáš Tatar (Piešťany), Tomáš Kopecký (Trenčín), Michal Handzuš, Clayton Stoner, Tanner Glass a Dana Tyrell (všetci Banská Bystrica). V Česku pôsobilo 31 hráčov, vrátane slovenského obrancu Milana Jurčinu (Chomutov). Nová kolektívna zmluva bola podpísana 6. januára 2013 a bude platiť desať rokov. Platový strop v sezóne 2013/14 bude 64,3 milióna amerických dolárov.[4]
