Běla Kolčáková (rod. Vavrdová; * 27. september 1937, Praha) je slovenská maliarka, grafička, ilustrátorka, pedagogička, textilná výtvarníčka a autorka koláží českého pôvodu. Běla Kolčáková je obohatením slovenskej aj česko-slovenskej výtvarnej kultúry, pretože reprezentuje toto rozpätie. Pražská rodáčka pôsobila na Orave so svojím manželom Ignácom Kolčákom, významným oravským umelcom a organizátorom. Od roku 1978 žije so svojou rodinou v Bratislave.[1]

Životopis

Běla Kolčáková sa narodila v roku 1937 v Prahe. V roku 1956 maturovala na Výtvarnej škole v Prahe, v rokoch 1957 – 1963 študovala na Akadémii výtvarných umení (AVU) v Prahe pod vedením prof. Součka a prof. Radu. V roku 1958 uzavrela manželstvo s Ignácom Kolčákom. V roku 1963 spolu s rodinou odchádza na Slovensko, kde sa venuje komornej maľbe a ilustrácii. V rokoch 1964 – 1967 pôsobila ako pedagogička výtvarného odboru na ĽŠU Dolný Kubín. V roku 1978 odchádza z Oravy spolu s rodinou do Bratislavy a pôsobí v slobodnom povolaní. Samostatne začala vystavovať v roku 1960 a svoje diela prezentovala na 35 samostatných výstavách doma aj v zahraničí. Ilustrovala približne 26 knižných titulov. Jej tvorba je zastúpená v 13 galériách na Slovensku, v Česku a Nemecku. Venuje sa nielen maľbe, ale aj kresbe, knižnej ilustrácii, koláži a tapisérii. Jej dielo predstavuje originálnu názorovú jednotu a vývinovú logiku. Jej tvorbu výrazne ovplyvnila oravská krajina. V celku slovenského výtvarného umenia predstavuje Běla Kolčáková výraznú osobnosť slovenského maliarstva, reprezentujúcu jeho poeticko-imaginárne tendencie.[2] Běla Kolčáková je členkou Umeleckej besedy slovenskej v Bratislave.
