International she was first active in 2010, where she won the World Championships in the youth field. At the Asian Championships in the same year Zhu vice-champion in the singles and doubles. Moreover she won silver at the Japan Open in the singles and at the Australian Open silver in the doubles. This medals were her first at the World Tour. After coming on place 105 in the world rankings in July, she was in September on place 25.
In the years after that she got numerous medals at Junior World-and Asian championships.
In 2013, her activity continued to increase. At the World Championships Zhu won two bronze medals.[2]
In the singles and in the doubles. At the end of the year she took part in the World Tour Grand Finals, where she lost to Li Xiaoxia in the quarter finals.
In 2014, Zhu won gold with the team at the World Championships.[3] Also she won the Swedish Open and the Kuwait Open.
In 2015, she lost to Liu Shiwen in the quarterfinals at the World Championships, but she won gold with her in the doubles. At the Asian Championships she took gold. Because of the third place at the Asian Cup in the singles she took part at the World Cup, where she lost in the quarterfinals against Li Jiao. At the Grand Finals she won bronze in the singles and gold in the doubles.
In 2016, followed one more time gold at the World Championships with the team[4] as gold as the Grand Finals for the first time in the singles category.
In 2017, she won bronze at the Asian Championships. But she won silver at the World Championships in the singles and in the doubles, too.
In September and October she beat twice Liu Shiwen at the World Cup and Asian Cup. Therefore she was for the first time number one.
