Yellowbox is a global workplace technology company. It develops smart locker systems and locker management software. Its products let employees book, manage, and open lockers using digital access methods such as mobile apps and RFID cards.

History

Yellowbox was founded in 2018 in Sydney, Australia by HoJun Tang, Vanessa Zhao, Adrian Brossard, and Ben Delaney. The founders started the company during a university pitching competition called the Peter Farrell Cup.[1][2]

In 2019, the company launched a wireless smart locker system. It can be installed on existing lockers and managed through cloud software.[3] In 2020, Yellowbox expanded into Europe.[4]

In 2021, the company introduced a hardwired smart locker system. In 2022, Yellowbox expanded into the United States and the United Kingdom.[5][6] In 2023, the company received the UNSW Startup of the Year award.[2]

In 2024, the founders were listed in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list.[7] In the same year, Yellowbox launched a Microsoft integration. It allows users to manage lockers through Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365.[8] In 2025, the company was included in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 list[9] and in the Australian Financial Review’s Most Innovative Companies list.[10]

Products

Yellowbox develops smart locker systems for workplaces. The system combines electronic locks with cloud-based software. Employees can book, manage, and open lockers using digital access methods such as mobile apps and RFID cards.[11] The lockers can be used in different ways. These include shared lockers, assigned lockers, team lockers, visitor lockers, parcel delivery lockers, and asset lockers for tools or devices.[12][13][14]
