Yashwant Vithoba Chittal.

Yashwant Vithoba Chittal (3 August 1928 – 23 March 2014) was a leading Indian fiction writer. His work was mostly in Kannada language. He won four Sahitya Akademi Awards, one Dr. Masti Award, and one Adikavi Pampa Award. He was born in Bankikodla-Hanehalli, Uttara Kannada.

Chittal died after a brief illness on 23 March 2014 at a private hospital in Mumbai. He was 85 years old. He was outlived by his wife and two sons.[1]
