Writer's block

Writer's block is when a writer loses the ability to write new material. Some people may not write anything new for years. Writer's block has been a problem through history, but people started paying more attention to it in the 20th century.[1]

Writer's block may have several causes. An author may run out of ideas of what to write about. Pressure to work may lead to the problem. It may also come from intimidation.

There are several forms of writer's block.[2]
