Thoughts
I like the idea of this guideline, we need to ensure we are using Simple English for, at the very least, the introduction section of the article. But I don't think RfD is the right way to deal with these, per w:WP:NOTCLEANUP and the fact that these introduction sections could probably be simplified within minutes. --Ferien (talk) 11:47, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
- I agree. RfD is just pointless bureaucracy in the majority of discussions that end with a keep, but simplify outcome. I was thinking of a noticeboard to raise concerns about the simplicity of an article. — *Fehufangą ♮ ✉ Talk page 13:06, 23 August 2023 (UTC)

Readability tests
We have come across two readability test sites that give wildly different results. We need to find two or three sites that give the same results. Let's pick a couple of articles to test and then find sites that give the same results. Thoughts? fr33kman 18:39, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
- There is also https://readabilityofwikipedia.com/ but it only does Flesch Reading Ease Score. Kk.urban (talk) 18:42, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
- I don't see how it's that helpful. It says what percentage of articles are harder to read. We need a grade level score or something equivalent. The one I've been using has been around for as long as I've been working on simplewiki (13 years), expects an HTML file and gives multiple readouts. If we can find another one that ids similar then that would be great. fr33kman 18:48, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
