Walter C. Carrington (July 24, 1930 – August 11, 2020) was an American diplomat. He was the United States Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Senegal and Nigeria. He worked during the presidencies of Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton. He was ambassador to Senegal between 1980 to 1981 and to Nigeria between 1993 to 1997. He was born in New York City.
Carrington died on August 11, 2020 at the age of 90.[1]
