Volkssturm
The Volkssturm, was a national Militia founded by the Nazi Party (the ruling party of Nazi Germany) in late 1944 during the last months of European theatre of World War II. the militia was meant to help overcome Allied victories at the end of the war and was made up of males from the ages of 16 to 60 that were not in the German army at this point in the war. the militia engaged in unsuccessful battles against the Allies and could not help Germany win the war.
