VFTS 352
VFTS 352 is a contact binary composed of two O-type stars, located in the Tarantula Nebula in the Large Magellanic Cloud, 160,000 light-years (49,000 parsecs) from Earth. It is the most massive contact binary observed to date (mid-2010s). It was discovered using ESO's VLT, and the publication of this discovery appeared on 13 October 2015. It consists of two stars that complete their orbits around each other in just over a day and are so close to each other that their surfaces touch.
