Thomas Westerman "Tom" Wolf[1] (born November 17, 1948) is an American businessman and politician. He became Governor of Pennsylvania on January 20, 2015. He defeated Republican incumbent Tom Corbett in the 2014 election for governor.[2] He was re-elected in 2018. He left office on January 17, 2023.
Wolf is a Democrat. Before being governor, he was the secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue from April 2007 until November 2008.[3][4]
On February 24, 2016, Wolf announced that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer in its early stages.[5]
