The Witch (stylized as The VVitch, and subtitled A New-England Folktale) is a 2015 folk horror[7] movie written and directed by Robert Eggers. It stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Ineson, Kate Dickie, Harvey Scrimshaw, Ellie Grainger, and Lucas Dawson.
It is set in 1630s New England and is about a Puritan family who find forces of evil in the woods near their farm.[8]
