Teoh Beng Hock

Teoh Beng Hock (20 April 1979 – 16 July 2009) was a Chinese Malaysian journalist and assistant to Ean Yong Hian Wah, a member of the Selangor state government. On 15 July 2009, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) called Teoh to answer questions about corruption. Before the meeting, he went missing. The next morning, his body was found on the roof of a building near the MACC offices. His death caused confusion and many people asked for a Royal Commission to investigate what really happened.[1]
