Steve King (born July 4, 1941)[ 1] is an American businessman and Republican Party activist.[ 2] He is the founder of King Capital LLC,[ 3] an equity investment and real estate company.[ 4] He is a former FBI agent.[ 5]
In 1988, he campaigned unsuccessfully for the Republican U.S. Senate nomination in Wisconsin.[ 6]
In July 2017, President Donald Trump nominated King to be the next United States Ambassador to the Czech Republic .[ 7] This nomination was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on October 5, 2017.[ 8]
