The Auyantepui carrying frog (Stefania schuberti) is a frog. It lives in Guyana.[2][3][1]
Home
This frog is awake at night. People see it in caves and cracks in the ground and on rocks. People see young frogs hiding under rocks and next to streams during the day. Scientists have seen the frog between 1,750 and 2,400 m (5,740 and 7,870 ft) above sea level.[3][1]
Scientists have seen the frogs in a protected place, Canaima National Park.[1]
Young
The female frogs carry their eggs on their backs. The eggs hatch into small froglets, not swimming tadpoles.[1]
Danger
Scientists from the IUCN say this frog is in some danger of dying out. Climate change could hurt this frog by changing the water in the air and the plants. Viruses, bacteria, and fungi could also hurt this frog by making it sick.[1]
