Spallumcheen is a district municipality in the province of British Columbia, Canada. It is located in the Okanagan Valley and is in North Okanagan regional district. Spallumcheen is located between Vernon and Enderby.

The population of Spallumcheen was 5,307 as reported by the 2021 Canadian census.[1] The mayor of Spallumcheen is Christine Fraser.[2] Spallumcheen is known for its many farmlands and important agricultural history in the district. Wheat, corn, barley, triticale and oat crops are regularly frown on the farmlands in the area.[3]

In the 1860s, European contact was made during the Cariboo Gold Rush and they settled in the area. Many farmers in the area began to drain the swamplands in the area and used the soil for growing produce. On July 21, 1892, the district municipality of Spallumcheen was incorporated. The name Spallumcheen comes from the Shuswap word, meaning "beautiful valley." In 1907, many Chinese immigrants began to move to Spallumcheen who also began to build farms.[4]
