Simko Shikak
Ismail Agha Shikak (Kurdish: ئیسماعیل ئاغا شکاک, Îsmaîl Axayê Şikak), also known as Simko (Kurdish: سمکۆ, Simko; 1887–1930), was a Kurdish chieftain of the Shekak tribe located in the West Azerbaijan province of Iran, who first sided with the Russian Empire,[1] and later the Ottoman Empire during World War I. He led attacks and revolts against the Qajar and Pahlavi states,[2] as well as massacres against Assyrian and Armenian civilians.[3]
