Schizothoracinae, also called snow barbels,[1] is a subfamily of freshwater ray-finned fish in the family Cyprinidae. It is native to Asia.

Ecology
Schizothoracinae have highly diverse diets. Some are carnivorous, some are herbivorous, and some are omnivores.
