Sarah Mei Li Owen[2] (Chinese: 陳美麗; pinyin: Chén Měilì; Wade–Giles: Chen Mei-li;[1] born 11 January 1983)[3][4] is a British Labour Party politician and trade unionist who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Luton North since 2019.[5] She is the first female MP of Chinese descent.[6] She has been the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Northern Ireland since July 2026.
