Ryan Getzlaf (born May 10, 1984) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre. He played 17 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played his entire NHL career for the Anaheim Ducks. He served as the captain of the Anaheim Ducks from 2010 until his retirement in 2022.
Before playing in the NHL, Dubnyk played 4 years with the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League (WHL). During his time with the Hitmen, he was named to the WHL East first All-Star team in 2003–04 and the WHL East second All-Star team in 2004–05.
Getzlaf also played for Team Canada, winning a gold medal with them at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
On April 5, 2022, Getlaf announced that he was retiring from playing professional ice hockey at the end of the season.[1] On April 24, 2022, Getzlaf played his final game in the NHL in a 6-3 loss to the St. Louis Blues.[2]
