Riyad Karim Mahrez (Arabic : رياض كريم محرز , romanized: Riyāḍ Karīm Maḥraz ; born 21 February 1991) is an Algerian professional football player who captains the Algerian national football team . He also plays as a right-winger for the Saudi Pro League team Al-Ahli .[ 4]
Mahrez made his international debut for Algeria in 2014 and represented them at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015 , 2017 , 2019 and 2021 . His team won the 2019 African Cup of Nations. It was only the second time that Algeria has won the African Cup of Nations ever.[ 5]
