The Peugeot 406 is a mid-size car that was produced by the French manufacturer Peugeot between 1995 and 2004. It succeeded the Peugeot 405. The 406 was known for its elegant design, comfortable interior, and advanced features for its time. It was produced in several body styles, including a 4-door saloon (sedan), an 5-door estate, and in 1997 it was launched a 2-door coupe that was designed in collaboration with Italian design house Pininfarina. The car underwent a facelift in 1999 to refresh its appearance and improve its performance, before being replaced by the Peugeot 407 in 2004. .
