After the match The Bucks offered the Lucha Brothers a contract to join All Elite Wrestling (AEW). They signed non-exclusive contracts because they were also signed to Lucha Underground at the time.[ 1]

They lost the AAA World Tag Team Championships to the Young Bucks.[ 2] At AAA's Verano de Escándalo , they won the titles back.[ 3] They enter a tournament to crown the first AEW World Tag Team Champions , but lost in the finals to SoCal Uncensored .[ 4]

The Lucha Brothers then entered a number one contender tournament for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. This was Pentagón Jr.'s first championship in AEW.[ 7] Both Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez said that their match was the best cage match that they had ever seen, and that it was one of the best AEW matches in the company's history. Meltzer rated the match 5.75 stars.[ 8] The brothers lost the AAA World Tag Team Championships to FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler ) on the October 16 episode of Dynamite, and then the AEW World Tag Team Championship to Jurassic Express on January 5, 2022.[ 9] [ 10]
On the September 7 episode of Dynamite , the Death Triangle defeated Best Friends (Chuck Taylor, Trent Beretta, and Orange Cassidy ) to become the new AEW World Trios Champions .[ 11] They lost the titles to The Elite (Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks) on the January 11, 2023 episode of Dynamite .[ 12]
