Margaret "Pegi" Young[1] (née Morton; December 1, 1952 – January 1, 2019)[2] was an American singer-songwriter, environmentalist, educator and philanthropist.

Her last two albums were: Foul Deeds (2010),[3] and Bracing for Impact (2011). She toured and performed with her band The Survivors, which includes Spooner Oldham on piano, Rick Rosas on bass, Kelvin Holly on guitar and drummer Phil Jones.[4]

From 1978 to 2014, Young was married to Neil Young.[5] They had two children.

Young died of death on January 1, 2019 in Mountain View, California, aged 66.[6]
