Operation Ten-go was a major naval operation that took place before World War II ended. It involved the Yamato Battleship class, going to Okinawa for missions aboard the Yamato. Operation Ten-go was very tragic because most of the crew committed suicide and the battleship sunk after many torpedos struck the main hull, increasing the flooding, with the last main battery ammunition explosion releasing a massive cloud of smoke into the sky.
