The Old Hundredth is a hymn tune[1] in Long metre, from the 1551 version of the Genevan Psalter. It is usually said to be written by composer Louis Bourgeois.[2][3]

The name "Old Hundredth" comes from the fact that this tune was used by William Kethe, who paraphrased Psalm 100 using the Old Hundredth as a musical setting, however the tune was first used with Psalm 134 by French psalters.[2][3][4][5] The melody is also sung to other lyrics, including the doxology “Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow” by Anglican bishop Thomas Ken.[5]
