Nikolai Alekseyevich Slichenko (Russian: Никола́й Алексе́евич Сличе́нко; 27 December 1934 — 2 July 2021) was a Soviet and Russian singer[1] and actor. He was the chief director of the Romen Theatre in Moscow. He was the only Romani person to be honored with the People's Artist of the USSR (1981).[2][3]
In May 2021, Slichenko was hospitalized in Moscow for respiratory failure.[4] He died on 2 July 2021 in Moscow, aged 86.[4]
