Nikolai Ivanovich Pankin (Russian: Николай Иванович Панкин; 2 January 1949 – 13 October 2018) was a Russian breaststroke swimmer and swimming coach. He competed at the 1968, 1972 and 1976 Summer Olympics in the 100m and 200m breaststroke and 4 × 100 m medley relay.

Career

In 1968 he won a bronze medal in the 100 m. Pankin was less successful in 1972 and 1976, and finished close to the podium in the medley relay. He was born in Moscow.

Death

Pankin died on 13 October 2018 in Murom, Russia at the age of 69.[1]
