Swedish cinnamon bun with crushed nib sugar

Nib sugar (also pearl sugar and hail sugar) is a type of white sugar. It has big pieces, so it is coarse. It is made by crushing blocks of white sugar. It does not melt very well. It is used as a topping on some sweets.^[1]
