Mini World is a sandbox game operated by Shenzhen Miniwan Technology Co., Ltd. As of May 2025, it has accumulated over 1 billion registered users worldwide, with more than 100 million monthly active players, over 60% of whom are teenagers. In the game, players take on the role of Milastars, gathering various resources through exploration and crafting tools to build their own creations.
Development History
On December 26, 2015, Mini World was launched on Android, iOS, and PC platforms in mainland China.[2]
On December 8, 2017, Tencent partnered with Shenzhen Miniwan Technology Co., Ltd. to launch a Mini World page on WeGame. On December 14, Mini World was officially released on WeGame. That same year, the game surpassed 24 million monthly active users, ranking third among mobile applications in mainland China.
In March 2018, Mini World collaborated with the Alxa environmental public welfare organization in Inner Mongolia to promote awareness about desertification control among players.
On April 2, 2018, Mini World was officially launched on Steam[4]. Initially a paid game, it later became free-to-play. However, in an attempt to recover its review score on Steam, Mini World has since withdrawn from the China region.
In 2021, the company “Miniwan” officially upgraded its corporate brand to MiniXiangxiang (Mini Creation)
