Microsoft Defender Antivirus (which used to be called Windows Defender), is an application made by Microsoft. It was released on October 24, 2006. Windows Defender prevents, quarantines, and removes spywares in Windows Vista and Windows 7. It also prevents computer viruses in Windows 8 and above.[2] It can also be downloaded for free for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.
