History
Merz Pharma was founded in 1908 by German pharmacist and chemist Friedrich Merz. Initially focused on cosmetics and nutritional supplements, the company later expanded into dermatology, neurology, and anti-aging medicine.
Despite its global presence, Merz remains family-owned and privately held.
Management
As of the 2020s, the company’s executive management includes Philip Burchard (Chief Executive Officer) and Hans-Jörg Bergler (Chief Financial Officer).
Operations
