Marion County is a county of the U.S. state of Arkansas. As of the 2020 census, the population was 16,826.[2] The county seat is Yellville.[3] Marion County was founded on September 25, 1836. It was named for General Francis Marion, the famous "Swamp Fox" of the Revolutionary War.
