Marina Claire Wheeler QC (born 18 August 1964) is a British lawyer, writer and columnist. She was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2016.[1] She was married to former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson; however, during 2018 the couple separated and later divorced in 2020.
In September 2018, Johnson and Wheeler announced that they had separated "some time ago", following continuing allegations of marital infidelity against Johnson.[2] It was also announced that divorce proceedings had started.[3]
In July 2019, after Johnson became Prime Minister, Wheeler became the Spouse of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
In August 2019, Wheeler revealed that she was diagnosed with cervical cancer and is currently cancer-free.[4]
