Luke James Steele (born 13 December 1979) is an Australian musician, singer and songwriter. He is best known as one half of the electronic music duo Empire of the Sun. He is also the vocalist and main songwriter of the alternative rock band The Sleepy Jackson. He was born in Perth, Western Australia.^[1] His sister, Katy Steele, is also a musician.
