Kumar Satyam is an Indian singer[1] known for his expertise in Sufi music, Bhajan, Ghazal[2][3] and semi-classical music. He hails from a Bhatt Brahmin family in Gokula village of Banka district in Bihar. Satyam represents the 13th generation in his family's musical legacy. He is the son of renowned musicians Late Pandit Lalan Ji Maharaj and the grandson of Late Pandit Ramashish Maharaj.[4][5]
Awards and Achievements
- Received the Sangeet Bhaskar Award in 2012.[6]
- Won a Gold Medal in the Youth Festival for harmonium performance.[7][8][9]
