Kevin Stenlund (born 20 September 1996) is a Swedish professional ice hockey forward. He currently plays for the Utah Mammoth of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has also played for the Columbus Blue Jackets, Winnipeg Jets, and Florida Panthers. Outside of the NHL, Stenlund has played for HV71 of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL).

Stenlund is a one-time Stanley Cup champion with the Panthers in 2024 and a one-time Le Mat Trophy champion with HV71 in 2016.

Career

Before playing in the NHL, Stenlund played three seasons with HV71 of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). He had a successful time with HV71 and helped them during the playoffs. They defeated the Färjestad BK and Malmö Redhawks. They went on to defeat the Brynäs IF four games to three in the Final to win Le Mat Trophy.[1]

He was drafted 58th overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2015 NHL entry draft. On 23 May 2017, Stenlund signed a three-year, $2.775 million entry-level contract to join the Blue Jackets.[2] He was sent down to play for their AHL-affiliate Cleveland Monsters.

On 12 January 2019, the Blue Jackets called him up and Stenlund made his NHL debut in a 2–1 overtime win against the Washington Capitals.[3] On 17 December, Stenlund scored his first NHL goal on the powerplay against Jonathan Bernier in a 5–3 win against the Detroit Red Wings.[4] He played parts of four seasons with the Blue Jackets.

On 13 July 2022, Stenlund signed a one-year contract to join the Winnipeg Jets.[5] He scored 6 goals and recorded 3 assists in 54 regular season games with the Jets.

On 1 July 2023, Stenlund signed a one-year, $1 million contract to join the Florida Panthers.[6] He helped the Panthers during the playoffs. They defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning, Boston Bruins, and New York Rangers. They went on to defeat the Edmonton Oilers four games to three in the Final to win the first Stanley Cup in Panthers franchise history.[7]

On 1 July 2024, Stenlund signed a two-year, $4 million contract to join the Utah Hockey Club (later Utah Mammoth).[8]
