Kaspar Rostrup (27 April 1940 – 10 November 2025) was a Danish movie director and screenwriter. His movies Jeppe på bjerget (1981) and Waltzing Regitze (1989) won Best Movie at the Bodil Awards. Jeppe på bjerget was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.[1] Jeppe på bjerget was entered into the 12th Moscow International Film Festival.[2] Rostrup was born in Frederiksberg, Denmark.
Rostrup died on 10 November 2025 in Copenhagen, Denmark at the age of 85.[3]
