Karim Asad Ahmad Khan (born 30 March 1970 in Edinburgh) is a Britishlawyer specializing in international criminal law and international human rights law. He holds the position of Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations, Special Adviser and Head of the United Nations Investigative Team to Promote Accountability for the Crimes Committed by ISIS in Iraq.[1]
He was elected in February 2021 as Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court and will take up his position in June 2021 for a term of nine years.[2]
