Karen Mayne (April 6, 1946 – August 15, 2024) was an American politician. She was a member of the Utah Senate from the 5th District from 2008 to 2023. She became the state senate's minority leader in 2019. Mayne was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mayne is a member of the Democratic Party.
In January 2022, Mayne was hospitalized after falling at her home and suffered from a head and shoulder injury.[1] She was later diagnosed with cancer.[1] Mayne died on August 15, 2024, at the age of 78.[2]
