Karel Lassche (2 April 1937 – 16 November 2024) was a Dutch businessman.[1]

Career

Around 1960 Lassche started as a fabric seller, with a borrowed suitcase and borrowed fabrics. After the collapse of the textile trade, he started a business gambling machine business. He started uder the name "Hela" (HEkman LAssche) that became "Internationaal Amusement" and later "Karel Lassche Speelautomaten". He first started selling in the region. The company was successful, expanded and later sold throughout the Netherlands.[2] He started his own entertainment center named Number One in the centre of Apeldoorn in November 1990.[3] As of 1999 he had 45 employees, including jurist Ina Adema [nl].[4] Every five years he gave a party, in 2002 with around 1750 people and known Dutch singers, and raised money for local businesses.[5]

Lassche owned several properties, including catering property, property of a sex club and apartments.[6][7]

Lassche was shareholder of football club Go Ahead Eagles between 2005 and 2018.[8]

Lassche died in Deventer on 16 November 2024, at the age of 87 years old.[9][1]
