Joshua Anthony Frydenberg (/ˈfraɪdənˌbɜːrɡ/) (born 17 July 1971) is an Australian former politician. He was the Treasurer of Australia from 2018 to 2022. He is the deputy leader of the Liberal Party since 2018 and was the Member of Parliament for Kooyong from 2010 to 2022.
He also worked for Deutsche Bank until his election to Parliament in 2010. On 24 August 2018, he was elected Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party.
In February 2022, a Roy Morgan poll showed he was the front runner to be Morrison's potential replacement as leader of the Liberal Party among voters.[1] However, at the 2022 election, Frydenberg lost his seat to the teal independent candidate Monique Ryan.[2]
