Joseph Edward Brennan (November 2, 1934 – April 5, 2024) was an American Democratic Party politician from Maine. He served as the 70th Governor of Maine from 1979 to 1987. He is a former commissioner on the Federal Maritime Commission.
Brennan died at his home in Portland, Maine on April 6, 2024, at the age of 89.[2][3]
