John Kiffmeyer (born July 11, 1969) also known as Al Sobrante is an American drummer. He was the first drummer for the punk rock band Green Day. He drummed for the band's 1,000 hours EP and the band's Slappy EP. He has also been the drummer for Isocracy. He got his nickname from the fact he is from El Sobrante (California).
