John H. Coates

John Henry Coates FRS[1] (26 January 1945 – 9 May 2022) was an Australian mathematician. He was a professor at the University of Cambridge from 1986 to 2012.[2][3][4] He was born in New South Wales, Australia.

He was elected a member of the Academia Europaea in 2008.[5]

Coates died on 9 May 2022 in Cambridge, England at the age of 77.[6]
